Programs Overview
The Latina Center utilizes a peer support approach to build the capacity of local Latinas through a Peer Leader model of leadership development. By providing skills-based trainings, The Latina Center aims to empower local Latinas to identify important health issues in their community and strengthen their individual capacities to be able to address these health issues. Most of The Latina Center programs are offered in Spanish and count with the participation of both monolingual and bilingual Latinas from both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
